The majority of ICAEW ACA qualification myths are stereotypes. Some truths are, in reality, as opposed to popular belief. Here are five of the most popular misconceptions on the certification.
#1 It is challenging to pass the ACA exams.
The global average pass rate for the March 2020 Professional level tests was 81.5%. It demonstrates that the ACA tests are not insurmountably challenging to pass. Pass rates are due to the high quality of ICAEW study materials, online tools, and extensive support system.
#2 People can only pursue the certification after graduating.
Students can study from a select few ICAEW modules while still in undergraduate or diploma studies. It is called frontloading. The advantage of frontloading as a full-time student is that you will have more time to prepare for tests and a better work-study balance before beginning to work full-time.
#3 A professional certification from a local professional body is an excellent option.
The ICAEW ACA qualification is globally known and may be used as a passport to advance one’s career. Countries like Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States recognise the program. The Chartered Accountant Worldwide is a founding member of the CAW.
#4 It is only for accountants and audit students.
The ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification is known even outside the accounting and auditing fields. The ACA moulds aspiring business executives of firms to innovate, prosper, and build ambitious future goals. There’s also a focus on application.
#5 Students should complete a lot of modules.
Up to 12 exemptions (credit for prior learning) are available to students with recognised academic credentials or members of specific professional associations. If a student is already pursuing the ACCA, they may be eligible for 3-12 test exemptions if they decide to pursue the ICAEW ACA.
ICAEW ACA provides an in-depth understanding of finance, accounting, and business. The Chartered Accountant course is recognised by companies worldwide. Their members have powerful positions all across the world. Check out their website for inquiries and more information.
